The Beach Theme Song
Posted by: | CommentsHave you ever heard a song that you can’t get out of your mind? One that takes you away to another place? I have a song that I listen to everyday that has become one of my favorite songs…ever. When I close my eyes it takes me back to the sugar white sands of the Emerald Coast of Florida where I left my heart :) I love listening to it because my mind calms and I can dream. I was listening to this song when I created ”Crystal Beach”. “Crystal Beach” is full of freshwater pearls, mother of pearl, sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, Tiger’s Eye and one of my favorite lampwork glass beads. The focal bead of this necklace has a base of dichroic glass that pekes through all the silver infused glass on top. It has all the gorgeous colors of the tropics incorporated into it. This necklace is one of those “drop dead gorgeous” pieces around the neck. It is extremely comfortable and lays beautifully.
This is a link to my song :) “The Beach Theme Song by Moby” and now here is “Crystal Beach”.
Off to spend time with hubby
Posted by: | CommentsI’m quitting work early tonight. I want to spend some quiet time with my hubby. We found out yesterday he has to have his big toe and part of his foot amputated. I just want to cuddle up and enjoy him. Goodnight, I’ll see you tomorrow:)
A little delay
Posted by: | CommentsI had hoped to be showing you a new copper cuff today, but as life would have it my newest pieces of jewelry won’t be showing until sometime tomorrow. I will be spending the day and evening in the studio getting several new items ready for your approval :)
I’m constantly looking for new materials and new ideas. I ordered in some stainless steel that I’m looking forward to working with. I think my first designs with it will be cuffs. I’m open to suggestions so if you have an idea that you think would look great in stainless let me know. Stainless and glass…..yummy. I also have my stash of polymer clay that has been calling to me for weeks now. I think I’ll get it out and set it on my work table and see what ideas I can get from it. Sometimes when I’m working, I’ll look around my table and something I see just spurs an idea so maybe the polymer clay sitting there will get the creative juices flowing.
I wish I could sit and chat with you all day, but I have to go to work so we can have something to talk about tomorrow…lol.
Good Monday morning
Posted by: | CommentsGood morning everyone. I don’t know too many people who believe Monday’s are good…lol. I’ve always looked forward to Mondays. I like knowing I have another week to try and accomplish something. Lately I have so many things I want to get done and not enough time. Designs for my cuff bracelets are running wild in my head. I’m missing my torch time too. I need to move a bed into my studio so I can just take quick naps. I’m very lucky to have a job I love. I doubt most people would want to sleep in their offices. Just call me crazy :)
Today is shipping day. I have several things that need to be boxed up and shipped out to customers. Completing these orders freed up more time to create and post. Just what you wanted to hear, right?
